Colt King Cobra Target .22 LR
This wheelgun is made to shoot. Equally capable on the farm or in .22 LR competition, it comes build from forged stainless steel. The one-piece stainless steel barrel delivers accuracy as well, according to Colt. It comes topped with an adjustable target rear sight, fiber-optic front sight and fitted with Hogue overmolded rubber grips.
“We are very excited to debut this new baby snake to our customers at NRA Annual Meetings,” said Justin Baldini, VP of Product Strategy, Colt CZ-USA. “Shooting .22 LR is such an important part of shooting sports. It’s where we come to learn as a beginner; and where we return as seasoned shooters to cost-effectively enjoy more time at the range. We’re confident that new and old Colt fans will love what we’ve done with the new King Cobra 22 LR.”
The King Cobra Target in .22 LR comes fitted with either a 4- or 6-inch barrel. Each utilizes a 1:16 RH rifling twist. For even more info, please visit colt.com.
Editor’s Take
Colt continues to do a wonderful job bringing back classic, iconic even, revolvers. We haven’t seen the MSRP as of yet, but we expect it to price somewhere between $800-$900, based on other guns in the line. That puts this gun on the high side for rimfire revolvers, but you get a lot, presumably, for that price.
At first glance, the King Cobra Target .22 LR at once serves as a crossover gun. You can casually plink cans. You can shoot a match. If you rimfire hunt, it should prove wonderfully accurate and up to the challenge. It for sure looks like Colt just punched out another winner.
