Back in March, we reported on the unique tip-up EDC pistol from Girsan, the MC 14T (below). The unique design eliminated the need for slide racking to chamber the first round. As a result, it received a lot of feedback, with customers looking for a model explicitly geared for the ladies. And Girsan answered with the MC 14T Lady Tip-Up.
The Girsan MC 14T Lady Tip-Up
The MC 14T Lady features the same unique tip-up design as the original, making it easier for smaller-statured shooters to chamber the first round. Likewise, it maintains minimal moving parts and goes from loading to firing quickly and easily. Simply open the action, tilt up the barrel, insert a round, close, and shoot.
Chambered in .380 ACP, the new MC 14T Lady now features a ported barrel design. The four-hole porting disperses the gas from the barrel, which reduces muzzle rise and recoil. As a result, shooters experience faster follow-up shots and increased control during rapid courses of fire.
Where the MC 14T Lady sees the most significant change is in aesthetics. The frame, slide, and barrel feature a gloss-black finish throughout. Gold-colored hardware, controls, skeletonized hammer, and trigger serve to highlight this finish. This includes everything down to the pins, adding an element of luxury.
Likewise, providing the interface to the pistol are stylish wood grip panels. The grips are engraved with checkering for enhanced control and an additional aesthetic. Also, centered in the checkering is an engraving of a lady in a sun hat with “Lady” scrolled beneath.
Finally, adding the finishing touch is the exclusive matching embroidered pistol rug. The rug features the same illustration as the pistol grip, with “MC 14T Lady” embroidered to the side.
However, it is worth noting that this all comes at a price. Where the original MC 14T costs $498.00, the MC 14T Lady has an MSRP of $682.00.

On March 27, 2023, Tactical Life reported:
Some guns offer a very specific solution, providing an answer to a very specific question. So is the case with European American Armory’s (EAA) latest import, the Girsan MC 14T. The unique tip-up design eliminates requiring a slide rack to get an EDC pistol into action.
EAA Girsan MC 14T
We’ve seen many companies similarly address making defensive pistols easier to make ready. For most folks, simply racking the slide provides no problems. But some smaller-stature shooters struggle to pull back a slide safely and reliably. The Smith & Wesson M&P 380 Shield EZ incorporates a lighter spring and other wizardry to make it easier to work the slide. Ruger released its own light-rack pistol in the well-received Security-380 Lite Rack. Now the Girsan MC 14T borrow from the past to deliver a solution for the modern concealed carrier.
“Small enough for a purse, easy to load, and carries 13 in the magazine… it really is the perfect defensive pistol.” Keith Bernkrant, President of EAA stated, “Once we started to work with the MC 14T, we quickly realized that loading and unloading as well as training is easier with a Tip-Up design pistol, as it simply eliminates the need to rack the slide altogether. I wish that we had worked on this project earlier after seeing just how simple and intuitive it is. The Tip-Up barrel MC 14T, with it’s external safety, external hammer and auto firing pin block, is the solution to many pistol owner’s issues and simple safe carry.”
Easy-Load Design
The design boasts minimal moving parts to go from loading to firing the pistol. Users simply open the action, tilt up the barrel, insert a round and close it up. The 13-round magazine feeds the gun thereafter in traditional semi-automatic fire.
“With the MC 14T we wanted a handgun that was not only small and compact but also allowed people that may have issues with racking a slide the ability to carry.” said Chase Duffey, National Sales & Import Manager at EAA Corp. “Small enough for a purse, easy to load, and carries 13 in the magazine… it really is the perfect defensive pistol.” Keith Bernkrant, President of EAA stated, “Once we started to work with the MC 14T we quickly realized that loading and unloading, as well as training, is easier with a Tip-Up design pistol as it simply eliminates the need to rack the slide altogether. The MC T comes chambered in .380 ACP, offering a 13+1 capacity. Better still, the pistol retails for under $500, at $498! For even more info, please visit eaacorp.com.
