Self-Defense Tip #121 — Review of Ray Floro’s Dos Manos System

[ad_1]

Ray Floro’s Dos Manos System for long blunt-impact weapons.

Ray Floro just released video course on his Dos Manos (Two-Handed) system for blunt impact weapons. The presentation concentrates mainly on the use of the Unbreakable® Walking-Stick Umbrella and a walking cane because both these implements can be used like blunt impact weapons. These are probably the only “legal” self-defense tools in countries with strict carry laws.

Ray’s Dos Manos can make you unbeatable. With this system you will pack way more wallop with way less effort. And have tactically superiority over any trash with their machetes, knives, clubs, bats, and batons.

The system is brilliant–simple and reliable. It flows from long-range strikes to close-quarter strikes keeping you in control of the opponent. Techniques are easy, not requiring athleticism. Of course, you need to practice, at least solo, just to get into good movement habits. (For an explanation why it is important for self-defense techniques to be easy and not requiring athleticism see Self-Defense Tip #120 — Fighting Techniques: How to Tell Good Ones from Bad.)

Part 1 (the intro) is 10 minutes long yet worth your patience so watch it whole. But if you want to get right away to the practical stuff, start with Part 2 and continue. Then, after you watched Parts 2 through 6, if you have the time and inclination to understand whys of the system, watch Part 1.

Here is what you will learn in Parts 2 through 6:

Part 2: The special grip for two-handed long weapons, how it differs for bladed weapons such as machetes or swords, and for blunt weapons such as sticks. This grip gives your strikes great impact and makes them lighting fast plus is very easy on your arms and wrists. Learn it to minimize risk and effort while maximizing effectiveness of your strikes. Mechanics of strikes, including basics of stance and distancing, is also taught in this part.

Part 3: Elliptical striking and tactical combos made possible by the elliptical strikes. This method of striking is superior to what you can see in the video below. With Ray’s elliptical strikes you will strike stronger, faster, and tactically smarter–and that means safer for you.

With Ray’s elliptical strikes you will strike stronger, faster, and tactically smarter–and that means safer for you.

Part 4: Thrusts. You believe thrusts are the best defensive moves with canes, walking-sticks, and umbrellas? Then in Part 4 you will learn priceless tips that apply even to pens and keys!

Part 5: Tactics for a stick against a stick or a baton or a machete.

Part 6: Jamming from a long-strike range into the close-quarters range and tactics in close-quarters.

Ray’s Dos Manos system blends readily with other stick systems like the Military Stick or Lamb Baton Method. Learn this system to make yourself a world-class stick fighter capable to outsmart and destroy any trash with their knives, clubs, bats, and batons.
