With all the great looks of a 1911 but with double-stack capacity, who doesn’t like a 2011? For this reason, Cosaint Arms releases its latest 2011—the COS21 Compact. And the 17+1 capacity combined with an optic cut slide and bull barrel means the COS21 Compact is tricked out for personal defense.
The Cosaint Arms COS21 Compact
Featuring a hard coat anodized frame, the COS21 Compact is a concealed carry friendly 24.5 ounces (without the magazine). Additionally, the pistol features a stippled grip to ensure a secure purchase of the compact design during courses of fire.
Riding atop the frame is the optic-ready slide with slide prep for the C&H Precision Weapons Cross mounting plate. However, the fiber optic front sight provides low light visibility for positive target acquisition without an optic.
The existing cover plate contains the rear sight, which is not adjustable. But an adjustable sight can be added for an additional $50.00. Likewise, you can opt to forgo the cover plate and get the C&H plate installed for an additional $50.00.
Chambered in 9mm, the 3.5-inch bull barrel of the COS21 Compact helps reduce recoil and aid in faster follow-up shots. However, a threaded barrel is also available for adding a suppressor or other muzzle device for an additional $200.00. Likewise, for an extra $350.00, you can get the pistol ported with “V” style or “Chunk” port.
A Medium Flat Trigger delivers the payload downrange with a crisp, clean break, providing enhanced control and accuracy. Correspondingly, safe handling is provided via the ambidextrous thumb safety and beavertail grip safety. The COS21 Compact ships with two flush-fit MBX Defender 17-round magazines. However, it also accommodates standard 2011-style magazines.
