EZR Sport Gauntlet Grips Offer an Easy to Install Secure Grip

Proposition 65 in California was established in 1986, requiring the state to maintain and update a list of chemicals known to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity. As a result, phthalates were recently added to the law’s chemical labeling requirements. For this reason, EZR Sport collaborated with Avient Corporation on its Gauntlet firearm grips for non-phthalate compliance.

The Gauntlet gun grip sleeves are constructed of EZR foam. Working in collaboration with Avient, the foam uses Avient’s CORE Non-Phthalate Plastisols and EZR’s proprietary manufacturing process. As a result, it is completely compliant with California Proposition 65 and is regarded as safe—according to Prop 65.

Likewise, EZR Sport specializes in grips for industrial and military firearm manufacturers. So, the grips also had to be chemically resistant to gun oil, diethyltoluamide (DEET insect repellents), and UV radiation. Requirements that Avient’s Non-Phthalate Plastisols also meet.

The grips feature an excellent foam cell structure with a smooth velvet surface. Additionally, the PVC vinyl closed-cell foam offers a non-slip surface, even under adverse conditions, and improves with use. As a result, is a safer handling experience and improved firearm retention during courses of fire in any condition.

The slip-on grips are available for a large variety of handguns, rifles, and shotguns from a list of manufacturers. Offering a custom fit to the firearm, the grips improve performance, and help mitigate felt recoil, according to the company. Likewise, they won’t move like silicone or rubber grips and won’t leave a residue like tape or adhesive grips.

Installation is easy, and only requires heating the grip, applying lubrication to the pistol, slipping it on, and letting the lubricant dry. According to the company, the P80 lubricant will not leave a residue when the grip is removed.

“Avient’s CORE plastisol formulation has proven to be the perfect match for our stringent material performance criteria, enabling EZR to thrive,” said Bob Atkinson, President of EZR Sport. “The continuous assistance from their experts has been instrumental in ensuring our ongoing progress and achievement.”
