The D901 features a hybrid construction of Kydex and premium, full-grain Italian leather. As a result, the holster provides the comfort of leather and the retention and stability of molded Kydex. In addition, the adjustable leather shoulder harness is tapered to evenly distribute weight for all-day comfort.
Where the D901 really shines is in the draw. The Kydex holster is surrounded by a leather sleeve with a forefinger security strap. When secured, the holster rides in the vertical position for maximum safety and concealment. However, when the strap is released, the holster can rotate forward, providing a more natural and comfortable draw.
Ideal for large, framed firearms, the holster is available for a large array of pistols, including sub-compacts. Likewise, you can opt for an optic cut and suppressor height sight channel for small additional fees. Additionally, the open muzzle allows for extended threaded barrels, while the fully covered barrel and trigger guard offer safe handling.
The premium leather is hand-cut, lacquered, and hand-finished one at a time by leather artisans. Correspondingly, the hand-finished and colored leather protects it from wear and adds to its longevity. Adjustable tie-down straps attach to the belt and allow the user to dial in the perfect fit.
Along with the forefinger security strap, the Kydex holster includes a retention screw for an added level of security. Available in either right- or left-hand options, the D901 also features a double magazine pouch on the opposite side.
