Magnum Research, a name synonymous with custom Desert Eagles, does it again with its limited-edition Tyler Desert Eagle. With only 25 pieces available, the company collaborated with Tyler Gun Works to add exquisite engraving to the case-hardened canvas. Likewise, premium wood grip panels and gold-colored accents set this heirloom apart in any collection.
The Magnum Tyler Desert Eagle
Building on the DE50 platform, the Tyler features a “case-hardened” frame, slide, and barrel. The case hardening process not only adds to the longevity of the platform but also enhances the overall aesthetic. Likewise, adding to the stylish heirloom appeal are the premium wood grip panels with a gold-colored inlaid eagle logo.
Each limited-edition Desert Eagle features hand engraving by the artists at Tyler Gun Works. The engraving consists of intricate scrollwork encompassing the frame, slide, and barrel. Adding the final touches, the scrollwork culminates at the front of the barrel and slide with detailed flourishes. Likewise, the base of the barrel is wrapped with flourishes, while the top of the slide includes the issue number “# of 25” encircled at the base of a flourish.
Accentuating the dark, case-hardened pistols are gold-colored controls and pins, including the ambidextrous thumb safety. Likewise, the gold-colored trigger couples with a gold-colored hammer to send rounds downrange. Finally, gold-colored fixed dovetail sights ride atop the slide and barrel to round out the contrasting aesthetic.
Chambered in .50 AE, the 6-inch barrel includes a Picatinny rail for the addition of an optic. Each Tyler Desert Eagle ships with a single 7-round magazine with a titanium gold baseplate. Additionally, a letter of authenticity identifying the pistol as one of 25 is also included.
