São Paulo Brazil Civilian Police Select B&T APC9-G Pro for Duty

[ad_1]

The São Paulo Brazil Civilian Police recently selected the B&T APC9-G Pro for duty. The law enforcement unit will receive 700 APC9-G Pro models equipped with MBT folding and telescoping stocks, Glock-compatible receiver, RQD suppressors and Aimpoint ACRO P2 optics on B&T QD mounts.

The acquisition comes as part the force’s plans to modernize the equipment of its security forces. The compact weapon systems come chambered in 9mm. The PDW also allows cartridge commonality between the division’s service pistols and new submachine gun.

“We are very pleased the Government of São Paulo and the Secretariat of Public Security have selected B&T APC9-G PRO models, reinforcing its commitment to provide firearms of high quality and efficiency to units within its institution” stated Chris Mudgett, Vice President of Marketing, B&T USA. “This contract marks our company’s second contract for US-produced APC submachine gun models for the professionals of São Paulo, Brazil — the first being APC40 models to the country’s Military Police.”

The APC9 Pro utilizes a hydraulic buffer system to reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise. The platform features functional updates, including dual, auto-folding, non-reciprocating and ambidextrous charging handles. An improved lower receiver features better ergonomics with a side-positioned bolt hold open/release. A removable M4-compatible grip and M-LOK accessory slots add to the utility. The APC9 also comes standard with B&T, Glock and SIG P32 magazines.
