ZEV Technologies OZ9 V2 Elite: Pistol Modularity Redefined

ZEV Technologies just announced the release of an all-new line of semi-auto pistols. The ZEV OZ9 V2 Elite series brings a fully modular pistol line, capable of converting a single Compact-sized receiver into 10 different pistol configurations.

The Glock-pattern V2 blends from both the Gen 3 and Gen 5 designs, taking the best parts for a performance-driven package. The OZ9 V2 Elite received aesthetic updates as well, complete with signature ZEV cuts. And it’s the first of many, with the V2 Combat launch coming very soon. That new platform already gained adoption by the DOE OST, according to ZEV.

We’ve put a bunch of rounds through ZEV pistols at our Athlon Outdoors Rendezvous over the last few year. Yes, they command a high price. And we know some will skoff its just an over-hyped Glock or some such. But until you’ve ran a bunch of rounds, it’s really difficult to understand just how special these pistols prove to be with every break of the trigger. An updated line, modular and giving shooters options to mix and match down the road, we have no doubt the V2 Elite will be just as impressive at ZEV’s previous builds.
