2024: Goals | The Survival Gardener

Happy New Year!

Here are our goals for 2024, Lord permitting:

1. Plant a large quantity of purple ube
2. Plant a lot more sugarcane
3. Make enough money with the plant nursery to pay us back for the greenhouse
4. Raise meat birds
5. Add 12 Leghorns to the chicken flock
6. Raise 5,000 lbs of food
7. Produce 100 consecutive YouTube videos in the spring
8. Fill up the rest of the fenced garden area with crops
9. Plant pumpkins on top of compost piles
10. Continue the landrace corn, watermelon, cucumber and daikon experiments
11. Plant the death hedge
12. Get my nursery into the Palafox Market in Pensacola
13. Fill in the food forest gaps
14. Plant a row of ultra-dwarf apples in the Grocery Row Garden
15. Release Minimalist Gardening
16. Release Florida Bullfrog’s Survival Chickens
17. Finish writing The Good Guide to Food Forests
18. Finish writing Alabama Survival Gardening 

That ought to keep us busy.
