Growing Fruit Trees FAST: A Report from the Field

I have written multiple articles and posted multiple videos on getting fruit trees to grow fast. It was something I had to learn myself, and once I figured it out, I was excited to share my knowledge with others.

Yesterday, D&S shared this comment on how my advice worked:

“I took your advice on running a hose on my plum tree. I have 2 trees planted the same day last October and ran a drip hose on one of them and there is no contest. The one with the drip hose is full of growth and trunk is about 1.5 inches in diameter and the other is 1/2 inch in diameter and barely has leaves on it. Thanks for the advice. It was the video where you said a neighbor of yours planted a tree same time as you.”

I have also noticed that fruit trees in the Grocery Row Garden system grow very quickly compared to the ones I planted outside of it.

I attribute this to the extra care we give our vegetable gardens. They have looser soil with more amendments, plus they watered and tended better than the individual trees out in the yard.

Speaking of Grocery Row Gardening, our first Goodstream University livestream last night went excellently.

That is my favorite thumbnail in a long time.

I set the live chat on this stream to “members only,” which meant that only paying channel members could comment during the event. A few people complained, but that’s fine. No matter what I do, I get a few complaints.

As I explained to one viewer:

…there are people who have pitched in $5 per month to support the channel. They deserve something for it, so I opened the comments to them alone. I do not see how this hurts anyone who doesn’t want to be a member. The content is still free. But I am thanking them and giving them something special in return. It also keeps the chat from being too crazy, as we’re getting as many as three hundred viewers at a time right now.

There will be other open streams in the future.

Also, I have created over 1,000 free videos with open comment sections. I could put everything behind a paywall if I wanted, but constantly give away free posts and videos.

The 200 supporters that are members help give me some return on the channel apart from ad revenue. There’s no way to make everyone happy, so I’m not going to worry about it.

I do appreciate my many viewers, but there are some people that support the channel faithfully month after month so I do some things for them. They deserve it.
