Why buy soil when nature will make it for you?
This is a great method for stretching what you have by using readily available resources. Composting in the ground – or in containers – is one of the many methods I write about in Compost Everything. It’s good to see others doing it. Why waste money buying soil? In this demonstration you can see just how much space he’s able to fill up with “waste” materials from his yard.
Often our first inclination is to buy things to fix garden problems. Usually, there is no need.
