Susy watched my video tour from the Fruit and Spice Park that features our tour guide harvesting bananas, then applied the method at home:
Give that banana trunk a few chops with your machete so the entire stalk bends over, then you can easily harvest a heavy bunch of bananas.
Those bananas look delicious. Musa acuminata, I believe. We used to eat them all the time in Grenada, where they were called “Rock Figs.” Man, I miss those good-tasting bananas!
