The Nursery is Cooking Along – So We’re Having a BIG SALE

[ad_1]

Just a bit of work here and there, and next thing you know you have too many plants and need to throw a big sale!

Plant Nursery July 2023 - Survival Gardening

We got a late start on this year, but we’ve made up for it somewhat. Lots and lots of plants are now thriving and growing, including some of the strange and rare things “normal” nurseries don’t stock.

This African blue basil has the best flavor of any cultivar I’ve tried:

It’s great for the table, and for pollinators.

Official Plant Sale Announcement

We’ll have a sale in the town of Atmore this Saturday. We’ve been looking for a place to sell in Brewton, but haven’t found a good outlet yet.

ADDRESS: Atmore Flea Market – 1815 Highway 21, 36502, Atmore, AL

TIME: Saturday, July 22nd from 8AM to 1PM

We have a lot of new plants in stock, some of which include:

African Blue Basil (awesome for both cooking and pollinators)
Cassava
Cranberry hibiscus (tasty leaves!)
Wild blueberry
Tithonia diversifolia
Comfrey
Mulberry
Yaupon holly (for native caffeinated tea!)
Cuban Oregano
Longevity Spinach
Shell Ginger
Culinary Ginger
Malanga
Black Walnut
Pineapple Guava
Chaste Tree (great for butterflies!)
Catawba Tree

…and more rare tidbits

Daisy will also have a collection of seeds for sale as well.

NOTE: We always need more pots! If you have any one-gallon or larger pots to trade for plants, we’ll give a credit of 50 cents for every pot turned in. That’s right – you can buy plants with pots.

We also just got copies of the huge, expanded version of Create Your Own Florida Food Forest back in stock, and we’ll have them there. See you Saturday.
